Trash, Art, And The Movies
The podcast that pits arthouse cinema against brainless entertainment—and then declares a victor.

Paul and Erin review two films inspired by Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 slasher-movie classic PSYCHO. First: PSYCHO, director Gus Van Sant's nealry shot-for-shot 1998 recreation of the Hitchcock original, starring Anne Heche and Vince Vaughn in the roles made famous by Janet Leigh and Anthony Perkins; then, PSYCHO II, director Richard Franklin's 1983 sequel, in which Norman Bates returns to the Bates Motel after being released from the mental institution, only to find himself once again slipping into madness... and possibly murder. Vince Vaughn dressed up as an old lady, or Meg Tilly dressed up as an old lady: which will prevail?

Plus: quick takes on the CARRIE remake, EVOCATEUR: THE MORTON DOWNEY JR. STORY, THE SPECTACULAR NOW, and KID-THING.
