Trash, Art, And The Movies
The podcast that pits arthouse cinema against brainless entertainment—and then declares a victor.

In honour of the new Jason Statham movie PARKER, Paul and Erin examine two earlier cinematic versions of Richard Stark's Parker novels. First: John Boorman's 1967 critics' favourite POINT BLANK, starring Lee Marvin as a thief out for revenge against the former partner who betrayed him and the crime syndicate who employes him. Then: PAYBACK, Brian Helgeland's 1999 remake of the same story, starring Mel Gibson as the thief and Gregg Henry as his sleazy betrayer. A Parker named Walker or a Parker named Porter: which will prevail?
